Open Chinese festival calendar dataset, 2026–2027
This source-linked dataset turns commonly searched Chinese festivals and commemorations into downloadable CSV and JSON. Gregorian conversions use Hong Kong time; actual temple, community and family observances may differ.
What is included
- 2026 and 2027 Gregorian dates and weekdays
- Lunar dates, common names and topic categories
- Fixed or variable date status, regional notes and usage cautions
- A source URL, review date and version for every row
How to use and cite it
Media, schools, cultural organisations, community calendars and researchers may download and excerpt the dataset. Keep the note that local events follow organiser announcements and cite it as: XinAn, Open Chinese Festival Calendar Dataset 2026–2027, v1.0.

Date and cultural methodology
Lunar conversions were checked day by day against the Hong Kong Observatory 2026 and 2027 conversion tables. Festival names and cultural context were cross-read against government, public heritage or religious-organisation sources. Each row states a common reference point, not a universal rule for every community.
