The short answer
Provide a birth date and birthplace, and the exact time when known. Keep an unknown hour unknown. Verify the pillars and calendar conversion before reading the cultural interpretation.
Required inputs
- Name and gender for report presentation and declared method fields
- Gregorian or lunar birth date with the input calendar clearly identified
- Birth time, or an explicit unknown-time state
- Precise birthplace for time zone, historical offset and optional solar-time handling
What the result should show

Parts that do not depend on the hour can still be shown, but hour-pillar analysis must be reduced and marked unknown.
Why does birthplace matter?
It determines time zone and historical offsets; longitude is also needed if a method applies apparent solar time.
